This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My TK students are just learning about socializing with their peers, communication and regulating their emotions. Many student do not have the skills to express their feelings yet and a calming corner will give them the opportunity to reflect, calm their emotions and learn to communicate and express their feelings with others.

The materials will give the a chance to learn techniques like breathing, drawing, building to calm and show their emotions.

They can act out their emotions with the dolls. The flexible seating will also allow the to sit comfortably as they explore in the calming area.
