Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 6-8th special education and each of my students are special, unique, and eager from their smiles, high fives, dancing, and love of music. The materials that I chose for this project are important so that I can create a space within the classroom for students to be able to clear their minds and refocus.
By donating to our project you will be helping students to have a safe place within the classroom to calm down.
This will be demonstrated by student being able to remove themselves from the area that is causing stress to a calming area where plush chairs, enclosed tent, books, manipulatives, throw pillows, weighted blankets, emotion fidgets, sensory toys and breathing balls are accessible on a bookcase in bins so that they can refocus when they get upset or need a break for a few minutes to be able to breathe and continue to learn in a safe environment.
