My Project
Hello! Nora Sterry is a school in LAUSD that is hoping to get our Calming Area funded with this new initiative. We will use the supplies on our list in our calming area to help students when they are experiencing big feelings and having trouble calming down. Following the pandemic, we have seen an increase in students experiencing difficulties regulating emotions. These items will help our school teach children important regulation skills. We've included many art materials because our students have shown an interest in using journaling and art as a way to calm down. These specialty items are not things we can get through our typical school budget. Your support will make it possible to provide these items to our students.
