Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in grades 3-5. All come from lower-income households, and 90% are second-language learners. They are motivated and ready to learn and leave their mark on the world, but the last couple of years have been difficult and left an emotional mark.
A Calm Area will provide a safe place where they can to regroup, and calm down before they are able to learn.
The blue color rug will help calm down their emotions in a comfy space along with the comfortable reclining chairs. It allows for individual thinking and also group activities where they can exchange ideas with their friends.
