it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My inclusive classroom needs a beautiful welcoming calming area. The materials that I am requesting will help create an amazing space and provide tools and resources that will help my little learners build their social skills by engaging in mindful activities. My young kids like journaling, drawing, breathing, holding a soft push toy or pillow, and need comfort. My classroom family is learning to recognize their emotions and feelings, and find happiness, understand how wonderful they are, and mindfulness. More than ever kids need a safe seat to release stress, relax, and enjoy school. Play dough, sensory sand, journals, books, plush toys, games, and a welcoming environment is key!
A calming area can help students reduce stress and anxiety.
