it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students have demands both at school and at home. There are many things that could cause them stress. There is noise everywhere. When we need quiet or alone time, we take it. Students don’t always have that luxury. I try to provide a comfortable learning environment for all students. Despite my best efforts to help them feel relaxed and at ease, they may feel stressed at some points during the day.
A calming area that includes headphones and a comfortable chair will help students relax and get a chance to destress in a calm way.
A Calming Area will give students the space they need to relax. Providing them with a corner that has wireless AirPods, noise canceling headphones to listen to music or an audio book, a comfortable bean bag chair, time and space to journal, or just relax can make a big difference for a student.
