it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The calming area I hope to create is a learning environment to significantly impact students' well-being and cognitive performance. This designated space, outfitted with comfortable seating such as plush ottomans, soft lighting, and soothing decor, serves as a retreat from the often hectic and demanding nature of academic pursuits. The intentional design of this space promotes relaxation and stress reduction, fostering a positive atmosphere that can contribute to a more conducive learning environment.
The incorporation of such calming areas recognizes and accommodates the diversity in learning styles among students.
While traditional classroom settings may work well for some, others may benefit from alternative environments that allow for individualized and self-directed learning experiences. Providing students with options for where and how they learn can enhance their engagement and overall academic performance. Snacks can further complement this setting, serving as a practical element to keep students energized and focused during their study sessions. Overall, a well-designed calming area reflects a holistic approach to education, acknowledging and addressing the varied needs and preferences of students in their quest for knowledge.
