Help me give my students who all struggle to learn to read, a calming area, with comfy couch, book table, books, and fun reading and writing materials to help them overcome their stress in learning to read.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have grit and determination. I teach reading to students who struggle with this learning task. Each day they look forward to coming to my class, eager to learn more and not feel so lost in their homeroom class. It is stressful for my students to spend every day in a learning environment that is advanced beyond what they can do.
I'd like to use the rug, sofa, coffee table, and books on my wish list to create a calming learning environment where I will teach not only how to read and write, but also how to manage their stress when learning becomes difficult outside my classroom.
