This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students arrive each day ready to learn, but sometimes they need to take a break and choose calming activities to help with their emotions. These resources will provide multiple, organized activities that students can use to relax their bodies and minds so they can be successful when they return to the group.
These resources have been chosen so students can utilize a variety of calming tools from drawing, fidgets, puzzles, plush toys, origami, maintaining an indoor garden, coloring, and sticker books.
There will also be calming scents and lighting.
The plush toys will provide comfort to students in the calm space and inspirational stickers will help them after they have left the calm space.
