This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students this year are great, little first graders. They love coming to school and learning each day. Most of the time students are happy, engaged, and inquistive.

Sometimes my students experience big emotions, and they need a little assistance in helping them to regulate their emotions.

A calming area would provide them that assistance they desperately need, so they can jump right back into learning.

I want to teach them how they can manage their emotions so they can be successful in school and at home. Managing one's emotions is a lifelong skill.
