My Students
Students that attend my school come from many different backgrounds. Some have lots of experiences to help them become successful, while others come from a much different background.
The students that walk through my classroom door are part of many different communities and their background is a story to tell and many of the children come from low income families.
Many of the children speak another language other than English. The students that I work with need many opportunities to show what they know and what they can become in the future. These students have a lot of drive and desire to learn as much as they can but in order to do that I need your help!
My Project
In this project, I am requesting calming bottles, squeezable balls, wiggle seat, etc. Working with children who come from many different family backgrounds, they sometimes don't have the coping skills to be able to calm themselves down.
These items are tools that I can use to teach them how to calm themselves down so that they can get back to their learning and hopefully eventually will be able to calm themselves down without the need of a tool.
Many of my students don't have the tools or background to be able to do that and need opportunities in a safe environment to practice those skills.
