My Students
I have 20 wonderful students. The range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!
My students are little sponges.
They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.
These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank your for taking the time to read.
My Project
My classroom has five large windows next to a street. I need blackout thermal curtains and tension rods to cover the windows. The street is busy and is a distraction to my students. Also, the large windows allow a lot of heat in, which is why I need thermal curtains. My students are four and five years old. We have nap time each afternoon. The current windows allow in a lot of light. This makes it very difficult for my students to get the proper rest they need. The curtains would allow the room to be cooler and darker, making it an ideal place for the students to rest and recharge. Last, I need flame retardant spray, so they'll meet fire code.
