Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school is a Title I community school in the Bronx.
My students are children with disabilities who have individualized education plans but continue to show they are a unique bunch with different learning styles.
As a special educator I am aware that some techniques work for my students, but I also know some techniques don't work.
My students will be using the iPad to build their engagement and to help reinforce lessons learned allowing them to face those jitters they have when the work seems just too hard.
Having an iPad Pro in the classroom would allow my students to use speech to text software when it is required for to complete written assignments allowing students to have their words transcribed assisting with getting their ideas down quicker and providing more clarity than writing.
My mission is always for my students to thrive without being overwhelmed. Having this tool will be beneficial for the struggling learning in my classroom.
