Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

A calm environment in the classroom is essential for fostering effective learning and overall well-being among students. When the atmosphere is tranquil, students feel more comfortable and focused, allowing them to absorb information more readily.

Ambient lighting and sounds cause children to be more peaceful and ready to receive instruction.

It reduces stress levels, enhances concentration, and promotes positive social interactions. In a peaceful setting, teachers can effectively deliver their lessons, and students can engage in discussions and activities without distractions. Moreover, a serene classroom environment encourages creativity and critical thinking, as individuals feel more confident in expressing their ideas and exploring new concepts. Ultimately, the importance of a calm classroom cannot be overstated, as it lays the foundation for a successful and enriching educational experience for all.

Social emotional learning is as important as content. Middle school students are still learning how to manage emotions, and I want to create a classroom that is conducive to learning and their emotional well being.
