Calm & Safe Ready to Learn

Help me give my students a relaxing calming corner in the classroom where they will feel safe, loved, and that they belong because kids need to feel safe and loved in order to learn anything in the classroom.

This project is fully funded

My Project

All students need to feel that sense of belonging everywhere they go. It is my job as an educator that I create that sense of safety, peace, and love when they enter into my classroom.

These items will go right into my "calm corner" so that my students can feel like their is a safe place in the classroom.

The weighted blanket and calming canopy will help my students feel safe. Studies show that these are awesome tools to help autism kids with their sensory needs. Along with that, fidgets like a calming ball and other little tools will help them refocus their mindset to learning. The giant timer will be a visual countdown so students know how long they can be in the calming corner and when another student can come in.

There is no learning when there is no sense of belonging.
