My Students

Our school serves school students grades 7 through 12 and is located one block from City Hall. Students live in many areas of the city. For the most at-risk students, those with habitual truancy, significant behavior issues, and histories of suspension and expulsion, the goal is to change behavior so that these students will stay in school and earn enough credits to graduate.

This year we are creating a series of classes for "life skills" where students can choose projects & activities that include history, science, literacy and art!

My Project

Students are often restless & agitated when they come to class.

With comfortable bean bags & headphones, students can relax & learn in a quiet atmosphere.

Students always ask for the headphones but we only have a couple, so now we will have enough for any student who wants and/or needs a quieter learning space. Students will be able to work & concentrate with the help of the headphones.

Bean Bags are comfortable & easy seating! (Right now students try to take the teachers chairs!) these bean bags will be a great option for students who need to relax as they learn.
