Calm Places and Creative Spaces: Our Special Needs Dreams!

Help me give my students some bean bag chairs so we can create a quiet corner for my special needs students with sensory issues.

My Project

Working with special needs students is an amazing experience, and I am excited to continue next year with additional students. Because my class is expanding, I realize there are going to be more challenges, especially for those with sensory issues. I need to create an additional calming corner for those times when the school day is just too hard emotionally.

By creating a calming corner, students who are struggling emotionally will have a quiet area to re-group so they can return to classroom activities.

These activities often include art projects to help with whole brain thinking. My classroom drawing supplies are in serious need of replenishing, and I want to make sure all my students have access to these precious resources.

Please be part of our new adventures next year by helping us create beautiful art projects with a calming corner nearby when the inner artist gets frustrated. We really appreciate Donors Choose, and we thank you for your consideration.
