it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Chemistry can be a particularly stressful subject for many students, especially those in my inclusion classes who have diverse needs. I’m committed to creating a space where they feel motivated to learn and supported in their academic journey. The resources I’m requesting will make a significant difference by addressing both their academic and emotional needs.
The art supplies, including construction paper, felt sheets, and colored pencils, will allow my students to express themselves creatively, providing a much-needed outlet for managing stress and anxiety.
The sensory items, like fidget toys and anxiety stickers, will help students stay focused and calm during lessons, ensuring that they can engage fully in the material. The snacks, such as granola bars and fruit snacks, will keep them energized and ready to participate throughout the day. Essential oils and disinfecting wipes will contribute to a clean and calming atmosphere, while motivational stickers and quotes will inspire them to persevere in their studies.
My goal for this project is to create a safe, nurturing space where my students can thrive both academically and emotionally. By integrating these resources into our daily routine, I aim to support their mental health and overall well-being, which is essential for effective learning.
What makes my students special is their diversity and their ability to rise above challenges. Many of them come from various backgrounds and face different obstacles, but they all share a common desire to learn and grow. This project is about more than just providing supplies; it’s about giving my students the tools they need to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
