Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how my students show kindness, curiosity, and a genuine excitement for learning. They support each other, celebrate small victories, and are always eager to connect with books, with each other, and with the world around them. Their compassion and willingness to grow, both academically and emotionally, inspire me every single day.
Our Reading Buddies program fosters meaningful connections through shared reading experiences.
It builds confidence in emerging readers and strengthens communication skills as students learn to listen, empathize, and support one another. Coupled with mindfulness resources, students will have tools to manage emotions, stay focused, and create a calm, positive learning environment. These resources will work together to nurture both literacy and emotional well-being laying the foundation for lifelong learning and healthy relationships.
