My Project

As a preschool community special education teacher, I have a unique job. I have the wonderful opportunity to work with many students in many different classroom environments. I work with students between the ages of 3-5 with a wide range of abilities. Each day I work hard to help problem solve big feelings and big behaviors in these classrooms. Since Covid, we have seen an uptick in students who are coming in more dysregulated and with greater social-emotional needs. My goal is to help classrooms run smoothly and be a happy place for ALL students.

This looks different in every classroom.

For some, these materials will assist in helping to create a "cozy corner." In another classroom, the the materials will help students learn how to calm down so they can be ready to learn. For others, these materials may assist students to relax and rest during naptime.

Our goal is to help every student to be successful in managing their emotions, remaining calm, and being ready to enjoy a fun day at school!
