My Project

The Special Education team at BES is committed to providing our special education students with safe, comfortable, calm down area! Many of students have a difficult time self-regulating their emotions and behaviors. They need a space where they feel comfortable taking breaks or deescalating, that meets their sensory needs, so that they can be successful students! We currently have 24 students that we work with on a daily basis; however, our sensory room is open to any student who needs access to it. Our students have a variety of disabilities including Autism, Other Health Impairments (ADHD), Specific Learning Disabilities, and Emotional Disabilities. We work hard to meet each student's individual needs based upon their strengths and areas of need. Help us create a safe space for our students!
