My Project

Our students are creative, fun, forgiving, and enthusiastic! I love our student's resilience and quickness to forgive. Our students are willing to work hard and take small steps to succeed. I love how innovative and creative our students are and how open they are to trying and learning new things. Our students are respectful and try to improve on their behavior and academic abilities. I love our student's willingness to improve and become better people.

Creative students abound in our school, where we have an accelerated learning lab filled with numerous high-ability learners who often grapple with elevated levels of anxiety and depression.

Reducing anxiety and stress is crucial for students' learning, growth, and overall social-emotional well-being. One effective way to provide students with a sensory tool for anxiety relief is by incorporating mindfulness practices. Regular mindfulness practice not only decreases stress but also enhances wellness and self-control. A practical mindfulness tool that can be utilized both at home and school is the glitter jar. By observing the glitter gracefully swirling to the bottom of the jar, children are given a moment to regain composure and regain control over their emotions. To create these glitter jars, we have ample donated glitter, but we kindly request donations of empty water bottles and glue. Students will have the option to take the glitter jar home or utilize it at school, allowing for personalized anxiety management
