This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The calm down cube that I am requesting for my students would be a game changer for our classroom. Many of my kindergarteners ask for a break throughout the day to help calm and regulate their bodies. I would like to create a space within the classroom where students feel like they can escape to without having to leave the room. We have a busy class of 20 kindergarteners that can get overwhelming for all those little bodies in once space.
Our school has a spot where students can go to calm down, and I think creating a space like this within the classroom would be so beneficial.
My students are learning skills to self regulate and ask for breaks when they need them. Thank you so much for considering to donate to this project. I know my students will benefit from this. learning space for years to come.
