My Project

Help give my classroom the materials we need to transform a space in our classroom into a calm down corner. This corner will help students calm down and relax if they are feeling overwhelmed, sad, or frustrated. Students will also use this area to sit in if they need a quiet minute or want to remain feeling calm and happy.

Social and emotional learning is vital to kindergarten development!

Providing a calm down corner will allow our students to learn about the different emotions they have and how to regulate them. We will use the sequin fabric and gel square for a sensory wall. We will use the letters to help label or corner. We will use the fidgets to help students who have trouble focusing, help keep their attention on the lesson.
