My Project
These materials will help me create a "Calm Down Corner" in my classroom for students to use when they experience heightened emotions. I will use the 4 zones of regulation poster, as well as calm down corner posters as visual supports to identify their feelings and identify strategies. The students will also have access to 2 decks of calming strategies to go through. A variety of light, stretchy, and squishy sensory toys will be available in the Calm Down Kit box, as well as coloring pages and glitter markers. Finally, I'm excited to have floor cushions, a visual timer, and a weighted seat lap available to my students.
