Unlike traditional Chromebooks or iPads, these laptops have the processing power and compatibility needed to support programs for 3D printing and Cricut design. This has opened the door for students to bring their ideas to life—from concept to physical creation—by seamlessly transferring their digital designs to our machines. These laptops now have a permanent place in our maker space and science lab, where they are consistently used as tools for innovation and hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students the most about this new technology is the opportunity to create. They're no longer limited to paper or standard classroom tools—they can now express themselves in ways that are meaningful, imaginative, and personal. For many of our scholars, this is the first time they've had access to such advanced tools for creativity, and it's been inspiring to watch their confidence and curiosity grow. This technology has truly become a gateway for self-expression, problem-solving, and real-world application.","fullyFundedDate":1746786503025,"projectUrl":"project/maker-space-create/9135119/","projectTitle":"Maker Space & Create!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Belisle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9466302_orig.jpg?crop=2105,2105,x2262,y672&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718754550748","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9466302"},{"teacherId":9466302,"projectId":8940676,"letterContent":"Thanks to the generous support from our donors, this project has allowed me to offer meaningful incentives that promote and reinforce positive behavior among my students. Whether in the classroom, during testing, or out on the playground, students are now motivated to act respectfully, stay focused, and support one another. These incentives have created a ripple effect—students are more engaged, cooperative, and eager to be role models for their peers. It has been especially effective during high-stress moments like testing, where a calm and positive atmosphere is critical for success.\r\n\r\nWhat's truly rewarding is that every student has the opportunity to benefit from these incentives, regardless of academic standing or background. The program has helped cultivate a more inclusive and encouraging school culture where good behavior is celebrated and shared. It's not just about individual rewards—it's about building a community where kindness, responsibility, and effort are visibly valued. This project has made a real difference, and I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to provide these supports to my students.","fullyFundedDate":1733707376231,"projectUrl":"project/redtail-retail/8940676/","projectTitle":"Redtail Retail","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Belisle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9466302_orig.jpg?crop=2105,2105,x2262,y672&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718754550748","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9466302"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7288","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":333,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":72,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.2,"schoolId":7288,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Windsor Hills Math/Sci/Aero Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Windsor Hills Math/Sci/Aero Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/windsor-hills-magnet-school/7288"}
