This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Sometimes my students just need to take a break to refocus. I want them to have a safe place in our room to "calm down". In this space, they need a good place to sit, things to help clear their minds, and a relaxing space to do it in. My students work so hard, and sometimes that can be overwhelming.

They can go to the "calm down corner" to take a brain break and be ready to rejoin the class to learn.

I would like to get bean bags and colorful rugs for them to sit on.
