My Project
A busy classroom can be stressful for some students. A calming corner is a safe space where students can deal with negative emotions that can impact learning. With these supplies–which include a weighted stuffed animal, calm down strategies books, and sensory toys–students will be able to take a break and then return to learning.
Managing stress, anger, and sadness is a life skill.
Everyday students come into the classroom with different emotions. By creating a calm down corner, students know there is a place for them to go to when they need to take a physical, mental, and emotional break.
