My Project
I teach a high school self-contained classroom filled with uniquely special students with diverse education needs. Some of my students have sensory needs and enjoy spending time on the ground. Some also need a calm down/quiet corner for when stimuli become too overwhelming.
Having a calm-down corner can help me make my students' environment more comfortable and safer for my students with sensory needs.
The bean bag chairs and the area rug will be the main components of the calm down corner and I know for sure that my students will appreciate these.
