My Project

In today’s fast-paced environment, mental well-being is essential for effective learning, and the items I’m requesting will help create a calm, supportive space where students feel safe and valued. With tools like mindfulness journals, comfortable seating, and sensory items, along with a Germ Guardian Filter, my goal is to provide resources that foster emotional regulation, focus, and resilience. Given our building's aging infrastructure and poor ventilation, many of my students suffer from allergies and struggle with the effects of low air quality, which can exacerbate stress, fatigue, and overall discomfort. Poor air quality affects cognitive functions and emotional well-being, making it difficult for students to concentrate and fully engage in learning. By introducing a high-quality HEPA filter, we are taking a proactive step to create a cleaner, healthier environment, which in turn supports their ability to focus, feel comfortable, and manage stress more effectively. This project aims to establish a dedicated area where students can pause, reflect, and recharge, enabling them to approach learning with clarity and confidence. My students are special because they bring diverse experiences and face unique challenges, often juggling academics with personal struggles. By addressing their mental health needs and physical comfort, we’re not only nurturing academic success but also empowering them with skills that will serve them beyond the classroom. This initiative is a step toward creating a thriving, compassionate learning environment where each student can shine.
