My Project

I am looking to build a "calm down corner" in my classroom where students can go to when their emotions get unregulated. Students have big feelings and a big part of growing up is learning what to do when those feelings get overwhelming. I am creating a corner of the classroom with sensory items that students can go to when they need to get their emotions back under control or just take a break.

Learning can be overwhelming and I want my students to feel like they are in an environment that supports their whole wellbeing.

Learning about social and emotional skills is just as important as learning math facts or how to read. With your donation, I will be able to create a space for students where they can decompress and face their emotions in a safe spot within the classroom.
