Students can use the rug and flexible seating options during and after class to relax, rest, and connect with their community. These materials will help me create a warm, welcoming environment. This classroom will be a science classroom for incoming 9th graders who will benefit from having a space where they can decompress and gather with friends in their community.
Students often like sitting with me during lunch to do homework and assignments or just to connect to build relationships with me.
All of these materials will help create a sense of community with more students within my classroom and school.
