Calm, Cool, and Collected! Sensory Bags for Super Kids!

My Project

My first graders are truly amazing! They come to school each day eager to learn, explore, and grow. They are kind, creative, and full of curiosity, but like all young learners, they sometimes need tools to help them regulate their emotions and focus during the school day. That’s why I am so excited to create individual sensory bags for my students!

These sensory bags will include calming bottles, glitter, fidget toys and Pop-Its.

Each item will serve a special purpose in supporting their social-emotional learning. For example, the calming bottles will give them a moment of visual relaxation, the glitter will spark creativity and mindfulness, and the fidget toys will provide a way to channel energy or anxiety into something soothing and constructive. Pop-Its and other sensory tools will also help students refocus and feel more grounded.

By providing these resources, I can help my students develop healthy strategies for calming themselves, staying engaged in their learning, and practicing emotional resilience.
