Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Some of the my students struggle with focusing on a task for long periods of time or getting started on a task that may be difficult for them. With access to the sensory tools, my students with specific needs will have better access to the learning materials when their sensory needs are met. My students can also use the sensory toys to ease anxiety that may arise from assessments and other difficult tasks.
Our library corner is also in need of a rug and stuffed animals that are designed to ease anxiety or provide other emotional support.
My student will have access to a safe space in the classroom whenever they need emotional or social support.
