Calm Classroom, Mental Health Wellness

Help me give my students calming supports for mental health in the classroom.

My Project

Our classroom is full of wonderfully diverse learners with diverse needs to support childhood mental health and wellness. Our calm down area is a popular place to reflect, reset, and self-regulate the big emotions that young students often feel at school.

Big feelings can be overwhelming for our youngest students which is why these calming mental health wellness and self-regulation tools will be so beneficial.

I will explicitly teach our students how to use each item in this wellness project so they can practice self-regulation of big emotions in school. The calm strips, playdough, breathing pals, and more will be a welcome addition to the practice of self-care and calm in our classroom.
