This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are full of creativity, curiosity, and heart. They show up each day ready to learn, and I want to create a classroom that reflects how much I believe in them. I strive to make our space a place where they feel seen, valued, and safe to express themselves.

This project will help build a more joyful and functional classroom.

The picture books I selected—like Where Are You From? and Good Things—center diverse stories and emotions that help students build empathy, self-love, and connection. Supplies like pencils, folders, highlighters, and dry erase markers will support their academic growth and keep us organized and ready to learn. Galaxy slime, SEL coloring books, and fidget tools will help students manage emotions and stay focused.

Every item on this list helps build a classroom that is calm, inclusive, and deeply supportive of every learner’s journey.
