Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hi, I am a Speech Language Pathologist. My students, who are on the non-verbal spectrum and have inattentive ADHD, will definitely benefit from the educational learning and fun game play area using communication cards as well as the visual-mouth model to learn the correct placements for sound production. Also, my ADHD students will have a calm and colorful area to relax and self-regulate to motivate themselves to proceed with a positive attitude towards learning. There are parents of my Spectrum students who are so hopeful that their child will be able to use sentence-level communication. This double-sided sentence flip stand enables students to communicate, and the visual model will give my students visual feedback and enhance communication. The colorful seat and learning rugs will help my attention deficit to calm down and focus on the literacy activity.
