Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher, my goal is to make learning as interactive, engaging, and memorable as possible! My students are extremely hard workers and want improve in their academic goals. My project is seeking classroom basic supplies, as well as organizational supplies for my students to end the rest of the school year strong!
The first item on my list is for black sharpies.
My students use the sharpies to complete tasks they need to turn in. The black ink help students create posters and projects for things they are learning in class. Another item on my list is for lanyards/badges. My students use the lanyards to hold their log-in information, as well as their other log in materials. It keeps their names in the lanyards as well whenever they have a substitute. The next item on the list is for file organizers. I will be able to create activities and organize them for students to use not only throughout the rest of this school year, but for years to come! Another item I have listed is for plastic storage organizers. I will be able to put papers, projects, and STEM supplies in these storage areas in the classroom for students to access easily. Another item on my list is for timers. Students share timers for fluency practice in the classroom. It gives them responsibility to use the tools and resources correctly while practicing their reading pace with partners. Another item on my list is for rechargeable batteries. Batteries are used often in the classroom, and using rechargeable ones has been a life saver! They have helped my classroom because we are able to use them through multiple uses! I also have laminating sheets and labels listed for organization and reuse of materials over time!
