This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my classroom, I want to create lifelong learners. My students come into the classroom every day with excitement to learn something new. They come from low-income families who struggle with providing the essentials such a warm meal. Their enthusiasm for learning is contagious. About 90% of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price meals.

My students are eager to learn and absorb the information presented to them.

I believe I am teaching future leaders of tomorrow.

My Project

All classrooms need basic supplies in order for the students to learn. I need copy paper for student lab sheets. My students collect data during classroom activities and record their results on their student activity sheets. Often, the activities require several sheets that require stapling. In order to help students stay organizer, we need a stapler.

Every student deserves to have basic needs met.

My lab tables need to sanitized frequently in order to prevent the spread of germs. There have been several times throughout the year in which students need band-aids. Instead of sending them to the nurse, I would love to quickly provide a band-aid, so they don't miss out on 20 minutes of instruction.
