My Project
My students are intrinsically-motivated, inquisitive, empathic, leaders, and change agents in the making, from the heart of southeast Washington, DC!
My students deserve to have access to a great education, filled with meaningful experiences, individualized and personalized learning, equitable resources, and endless opportunities to gain global perspectives.
What does it mean to be a change agent?
There will be a fostering of a 'maker mindset' within students, encouraging them to make, learn, collaborate, and share their vision and their creations with our learning community.
The Cricut machine and all its materials and accessories will promote and encourage students' creativity and imagination. Students will learn how to plan, design, and choose their color scheme in creating handmade cards, clothing, and accessories to show their gratitude and support to their peers, school members, and for the community.
Making self-, whole-, and global connections, observing, critical thinking, communicating, synthesizing, applying, and producing unique ideas, this selection of hands-on learning and interactive resources will tap into one's creativity.
Providing the first-ever makerspace in our school will offer our students an opportunity to explore their interests, get creative, have access to a plethora of choices using 2-D and 3-D tools to promote engagement and connections while instilling a love of imagination.
