My students need pots and pans along with pretend food to use daily in our very popular kitchen center.

My Students

Most of my students are English as a second language learners with a high percentage qualifying for free lunch. For many of them this is their first time being submerged in an english speaking environment. My students are faced with many difficulties in and out of the classroom.

Despite the challenges my students face, they come into the classroom everyday ready to learn, play, communicate and make new friends.

We have a fun group of students ready to take on the challenge of learning a different language than spoken at home, and are ready to jump into anything I put in front of them. We have fun learning and do so through many avenues.

My Project

My students will be cooking up a storm when they receive the items requested. They can brew some coffee with the coffee and tea set. They will be able to sit down with friends for fresh baked cookies to go with their tea or coffee. Stopping to scoop some ice cream will surely become a favorite.

I can not wait to see the delight on their faces when they cook their friends a meal, sit down to eat together and then clean up the dishes when they are done.

Can you imagine the colorful language that will be shared in this super popular center.
