This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a school in Northern California. A half of our students receive free or reduced price lunch,and many are English Language Learners. My students come from hardworking families trying to make ends meet doing all that they can to support their families. Although our students and families face many challenges, we created a learning environment where all students can thrive, with the use of technology and the support of passionate teachers. Our students are very lucky to have a two-to-one ratio of students-to-devices which allows them to explore the world around them and prepares them for the high tech world they will be entering as adults.

I am passionate about developing meaningful relationships with my students and creating engaging learning experience that will keep them lifelong learners.

My Project

I am asking for three Chromebooks to use during our small group instruction. During this time I work with each small group of students in both literacy and math to create a 21st century learning environment for my students.

These Chromebooks will better allow my students to use technology to work on activities unique to their specific needs.

With incorporating more technology in the classroom I am better able to support my students. Our new Chromebooks will allow us to explore the world around us with out having to learn our classroom. These additional will also allow students to work independently on specific needs. Making their learning experience more personalized.
