This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sigh...as I was packing up my classroom this past June for the summer, one of my bookcases fell apart -- literally. At the time, I was too tired and weary to worry about it; however, as I unpacked two weeks ago for the new year, I realized how useful it was and how its absence made it difficult to finish unpacking. In fact, I still have a huge tub of games and manipulatives sitting in a corner that I cannot unload because I have no place for them!
I am requesting a bookcase and spare shelf pins to store these items and more; having storage space is ESSENTIAL to teachers because it seems as though there is NEVER.
ENOUGH. ROOM. for all one needs to adequately teach the curricula or create lively small groups. A bookcase will provide my students easy access to materials and activities and also gives me a full view of all that I have which is helpful when trying to locate a particular activity or tub of manipulatives.
