it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year, it is my job to teach my 4th graders about their home state of California. We study its location, the different mountain ranges, its four regions, and more. Learning all about California is fun for my students, and we do a lot of different activities to help them understand its development. This year, I would like my students to experience learning about California in a more hands-on way.
A topographic map of California will help them better understand the formation of the central valley region, the mountain ranges that run through the state, and the location of the desert region.
Once they become familiar with California's geographic features, they will create their own 3D map using the flour I am asking for, and will paint the map once it is dry. It will then be displayed in our classroom. In addition, the globe will be used to identify California's location in relation to other countries and continents. These materials will enable my students to learn about California in a fun and unique way.
