My students need an Elementary Calendar Math Center and a Days in School Math Activity Center.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Boyce's classroom raised $192
This project is fully funded
I teach a special education class for children in kindergarten, first, second and third grade. The children have emotional disabilities and are struggling academically.
The children in our classroom have severe emotional and behavior disabilities. The students struggle academically because of their difficulties. They need structured lessons, that review skills daily. With the economic situation our education system is in, special education is last group to get funded.
Our classroom needs a classroom calendar program. The Calendar Math Center is designed for grades one and two and targets standards in the areas of calendar concepts, number patterns, money, problem solving, number sentences, place value and other concepts. This center has structured activities that can be customized to include everyone in our classroom every morning. The Days in School Math Center brings numbers in word form, place value, expanded notation. This center uses the days students are in school to teach and review important skills. Both of these programs are hands on and reinforce skills in a way that children can relate to.
I know the children in my classroom would benefit from these centers. They are centers that involve the entire class everyday. Your help would allow my children to become stronger with their math skills, improve their self confidence and become successful.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
