My Students

What I love most about my students is our strong sense of classroom community.

These students strongly believe that, "We are ALL friends in Mrs P's class!"

Recently, one of them was in the hospital. We worked together to make a video letting him know that he was missed. Each student said such kind and thoughtful things. Even though the boy's mouth was swollen to double its normal size, he told his mom from the hospital that he had to go to school! He said, "My friends are all waiting for me!"

My Project

We spend so much time learning how to read in kindergarten. My students need greater access in our classroom to quality literature. Our classroom library is one of their favorite places to go.

My students need exposure to high quality books so they will want to learn to read !

I also requested many "Elephant and Piggie" books. One day our principal sat down with out class and talked about BOOKS. They books they said they all loved were Mo Willems books. I watched them get so excited that it was magical!
