My Project

My special education classroom is in need of calculators for student use. I was informed this week that I will be teaching a much needed special education mathematics course starting in August 2025. I am very pleased this class has been created and that I have been entrusted to teach the students. We have many young people at school who have been overwhelmed in their current math class, so I will be teaching a "basics" math course to help these students get caught-up so they can be productive members of society when they finish all their schooling. I plan to have "Money Fridays" when the students work on their money handling skills and the calculators will be in great demand. My goal is to have every student leave my room with a greater level of mathematics, so they can function as productive adults in their finances and any other mathematical situation. Thank you for your consideration towards my project and consideration in helping my wonderful kids.
