This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are very poor and so is our school system. We are a rural school in the Mississippi Delta. We need help.

Most of my students receive free lunches.

In fact 98 percent of our students receive free lunches. We are really limited on the school supplies we can offer our students. We need help. Most of my students are African American and most come from single parent homes.

My Project

We are requesting calculators for our math classes. We currently only have around twenty five or so. This is split between three classrooms and our tutorial program. We have got to get more but our school district can not afford to buy us any. Something has got to be done or our child will continue to suffer.

We currently only have 25 Calculators for 3 classrooms.

We are in bad need of these Calculators. Anything you can give would be most helpful. Please don't just scroll by us. Please help us.
