My Project
Working in a low-income area with a high number of students in negative living situations it can be difficult for families and students to justify the high cost of a quality calculator.
The covid-19 pandemic has only amplified these problems.
With even more families out of work and behind on bills for many months/years the need for financial support in education is essential. This is especially true with the loss of learning due to quarantine and virtual learning.
These calculators are required for AP Exams and essential for SATs, ACTs, and in-class assessments. I do not want my students to have to put their financial needs above their needs for a fair education.
Your donation will help these students who cannot afford these devices get an education equal to that of their peers. It will allow for students who are struggling after the effects of covid to make high achievements in mathematics. Thank you for considering.
