My Project
I am requesting a classroom set of calculators that the students can use in their Algebra class. The calculators will allow students to focus on the concepts being taught in class and not worry about making simple computational errors. Some of my students struggle in math; some have not even learned basic skills like multiplication. These students shut down easily or embarrassed to participate, in fear of making simple math errors. The use of calculators alleviates some of the stress these struggling students have and get them to be more motivated to participate and do their work.
